To help me figure out the problem, do this:

  • Start UT and try to join the server.
  • As soon as you lose connection, close UT.
  • Go into your UnrealTournament/System folder.
  • Find the UnrealTournament.log file, and open it.
  • Copy all of its contents and paste them here in a post.

When you paste in the contents into a post, can you put them in a "code" tag? Look for the "#" sign.

Thanks.

The MOUNT ST. HELEN server has moved to 104.129.30.14, port 7777.

The ISLE OF HELEN server is still at 31.132.7.153, port 7787.

Ok I think it is ready, hopefully it doesn't mysteriously go down later like the first one did. The stats are working in-game, but they won't be uploaded to web site for a few hours yet.

I would try using OpenGL instead of D3D.

But you could try setting this in your UnrealTournament.ini:

UseS3TC=False

I have noticed this issue constantly although A temporary fix is to Alt-Tab out of UT & back in. For some reason OpenGL @ Least on any modern Windows OS seems to have a problem with brightness. I will test disabling some windows settings later and see if i cant find a more "Permanent" fix. With OpenGL the first time switching out/in of UT the screen is wayyy too dark, second time it becomes way too bright. Coincidentally im currently testing out an ENB mod for UT. Maybe I will write up a tutorial on getting it installed & running. Currently my FPS has skyrocketed from it...D3D only tho, sadly no OpenGL support.

This is how to make it brighter. Join a game. Then just keep pressing the F11 key. It will make it brighter and brighter. Easy!

RITALIN!!! I did not understand anything in your post:'( very difficult for a little boy  Cheesy
Helen!!! You did not understand my problem. I don't need to make the game brightly!!! I need to make it lightly!!!
The problem is: before  December18  I could play on your server without any problem and my video driver was D3D. Since that day  the server kickes me and UT crashes of this reason. You have said: "now change it to OPEN GL" -  I did it and it became very dark!!! very difficult to play!!! and I can't make the game lightly with the button "brigtness" in options - it does not change with this driver!!! However I can change the brightness with D3D driver. That is the problem. Ge Force GTX 760 is not compatible with open gl.
