1. "Underside of Crank" - its on the frame underneath.
3. "Rear Stays" - again on the frame, on the right side, on the inside.
That's where the serial numbers are for the specialized bikes I have

My M2, it's actually a 1992.
If the bikes are 95 or later, specialized may have changed the numbering by then, meaning the first two digits are not the year
