Find serial numbers on older specialized bikes

Sorry I'm posting it here, but I can't send a pm on my own website right now, sheesh.

Post pics and I would have a better idea of the years. And I'd just love to see them.

Or, first go to this link so I can use the pic on there to guide you.
https://dps.usc.edu/services/bikes/serial/

You'll know what these mean if you are looking at that pic:
1. "Underside of Crank" - its on the frame underneath.
3. "Rear Stays" - again on the frame, on the right side, on the inside.

That's where the serial numbers are for the specialized bikes I have Smiley
My M2, it's actually a 1992.

If the bikes are 95 or later, specialized may have changed the numbering by then, meaning the first two digits are not the year Sad

Helen,
If you keep talking about bikes we are going to have to ban you.  Lol.  Husky players like myself dislike the tiny seats and multitude of motorized vehicles.  Now, if you want to discuss potential NHL trades and free agents, that's welcome here!

Lol, I actually requested this info via PM, guess me and H have been sending too much info.  Roll Eyes

I recently found two "Specialized Stumpjumper" Bicycles around here in Oakland so I decided to ask the one person I know who specializes in Specialized  Grin

Sooooooooo.....No Serial #'s on this bike anywhere to be found  Sad Kinda mystifies me too....

I can tell you it's an M2-FS (Future Suspension as they called it)

So finally got my phone back to take some pictures of it. View them below.

IMPORTANT! Evidently my pics are too big or too high of a resolution. You can easily view the pictures in your browser by repeatedly shrinking your browser view "Hold CTRL -" until the pictures are regular size and sharp. To restore your view use "CTRL +"

An M2, nice Smiley
I saw a thread that has a pic with same color scheme, guy says his is a '94.

That's a small frame size, I hope it fits you. Or are you a bike dealer now and you are going to turn it over for a profit, lol.

Not even my bike, that's my brother's! "Supposedly.... He Like's it that low and enjoy's riding bent all the way over..."  Huh Mine is actually a Magna. It's Blue & Silver it definitely sit's quite a bit higher where at least I can frequently ride with one hand and let half my upper body rest at a time. And yeah I actually miss having a 29 inch. Everything else feel's cramped, but I can still ride it for well over 30 miles a day. I've ridden bicycles for years as a way to get out extra energy and frankly I just love going off-road into some wooded areas etc. Thank's for the link!                                                          l
