UT GOTY vs Other Games

So in an effort to play less Ut I tried Call of Duty, Counterstrike, Quake 3, reinstalled UT 2004  and purchased Crysis 3.  In the nicest way I can put it......they suck crapola!  Sure the graphics look better in the newer games, but movement and weapons are far superior in GOTY.  I can't believe I can't find a FPS game better than something from 1999. Just when I thought I was out it pulls me back in!  Lol

PS   Any other game choices I can try?

I don't think you'll find anything better if you like UT gameplay.

Why do you want to play less UT ?

Give Unreal a try it's the only thing close. It has a great single player campaign if your tired of multiplayer.

Hi Stiv,
I have 3 player names now in the top 10 at Helen's.  So I figured I would try something new.  Nothing as fun yet.  I'll look into Unreal,  Thanks!

I agree that for FPS fun, UT99 is tops. I tried UT2004, UTIII, Counter Strike (just a little), and a couple of times some zombie game, they are all newer and look fantastic but, kinda boring.

If you are looking for something to do, I need someone to make some new maps Smiley
