Is it possible to move faster than other players? I have been playing a few games against someone who doesn't dodge yet moves at 1.25-1.5 times normal speed (at least on my pc). I can barely hit him and even straight away running he is faster than other players on the same server.  Any ideas why this might be? Is there a speed cheat?  Somethings off for sure.

OK - 3 things can happen that I know of...

1) Yes, there are Speed Cheats.
2) There are also "Relics" of Speed that you can pick up, just like health vials, etc., that give you speed for a set time.
3) UT99 is notorious for showing "Other players" as appearing much faster than yourself, even though they really are not faster than you. Many players experience this.

Just 3 possibilities that I know of for sure. Wink

Hi Hook,
This player was on a non-relic/ Ace server so I guess it could be number 3. It's just weird as other players don't move at his speed.  Is there a way to correct this UT flaw?

  Years ago I was playing on a sever with two other players on a map called Ulibrary. Low gravity. We noticed that one of us could dodge across the court yard in that map from ledge to ledge, while the other two couldn't. No matter how many times we tried two of us couldn't make it, while the third player did it time after time no problem.
   On another map, I think it was Dogtown, this player could jump to one of the rooftops easily while we couldn't.
Another UT mystery.
  I just downloaded ULibrary...  still can't make it across !!

Maybe that player was "boosting" with something?
Like using the piston hammer (into the ground or wall) to jump and launch himself further?

I know somethings off.  Let's put it this way, he is as fast or faster than players that dodge constantly but he only runs or moves side to side.  When I spoke with him he said he uses an I7 computer and a joystick controller to move.  I don't know, maybe its just me.
