Does it really matter if you win a 30 frag multi-player deathmatch and you have 20-30 deaths? Or, would 20 frags and 0-5 deaths be more satisfying?

From the winning point of view, getting 30 frags first is the definition of victory. For some maps, deaths are part of the equation if you want to get frags faster.

Sometimes when playing with other players, I do quite often make my goal zero deaths, rather than winning, so yes I do find that satisfying. But I can't claim to have been better than the other guy if i'm 25-0 and he's 30-5. Because the objective was 30 frags first.

If someone complains you won with a lot of deaths, kindly inform them that Last Man Standing is the game they should be playing, where the objective is least deaths.

I quite agree!
The point of DM (after having FUN) is to win with most frags. Wink

In my case, and many I play with, Having FUN comes first and foremost! Cheesy

I have heard of people like you but I don't think they really exist in the real world.
Gaming maybe...but after awhile I think it becomes a different level of fun...for most... Wink

I see that article as being written by someone who is young, or who has not matured yet. His mental capacity has not reached a level where he is in control of his "biological urges". Ultimately it is one person's opinion.

Me, I play for fun.

Yes, I agree with Helen and 21 also.
Most of us who play on CMM are often surprised when we win, as we do not pay much attention to the score LOL Grin

For me also, and others I know, I and we play mainly just for the fun of playing the game, friendship - score is only a secondary thing.

Although, EACH "good" frag to me is a "win" I guess, and not really the high score thing, because I enjoy getting frags in a cool or unique way.
That is about the only "Score" related thingy that I do enjoy, but still it is secondary to just the fun part.

Oh, that article?
It is one of the "dumbest (not to mention Blind, Narrow-minded and One-sided) articles in video gaming" I have ever read. Cheesy
Ewww, who would write that? Shocked

Honestly it depends on my mood , i am fine with either or both lolz, it is always enjoyable, i think my preference is going through a level just in a visual zone, almost a dance of fluidity & in those time's i usually have success @ both. truly tho i believe the idea is always to get the most kills & die the least amount of time's  Huh

Oh, yeah, that goes without even saying it.
I go for the scoring thing quite often also, we all do I think, but having FUN is Always FIRST, for me anyway, and not the scoring. Wink
