I downloaded this mod, will this work in conjuction with mapvote.  I am trying to get all my mods/mutators ready for the server.

I may need that, I will have the hardest time with mapvote, I remember a little hopefully it comes back to me, basically I put actorclp on there which I want it to load the mapvote which will then load the mutators unless it is easier to use your program

Hook has a good post on mapvote. Yes the chain would be

- actorCLP starts mapvote
- mapvote specifies a single mutator to start each time (medToggle)
- in medToggle is where you would set up the other mutators and settings. Much power with medToggle.

Added a couple of more official variables:

	| Swapping Weapons and Ammo (specifically) |

If you wish to swap a SPECIFIC weapon or piece of ammo in the map, here's how by using these two variables:

InstanceWeaponSwap
InstanceAmmoSwap

This is very very similar to the section above titled "Excluding a literal INSTANCE of an Actor". You need to
find the literal name of the actor, then you will specify a generic name to replace it with. For example:

InstanceWeaponSwap="ShockRifle0:Botpack.ripper"

So it will try to find a shock rifle named "ShockRifle0", and it will replace it with a ripper. Again you can
only use this at map level.

There is also a new "unofficial" variable, or unsupported variable.

ActorSwap

This, hypothetically, lets you swap out any actor with any other type of actor. In truth, some actors simply cannot be removed, period. So you have to know what you are doing. Some actors I know that cannot be removed are ZoneInfo, AmbientSound, Light, PlayerStart, and PathNode. I'm sure there are many others.

But hey it does work otherwise Smiley

If you want to know how use it, just read either the WeaponSwap or AmmoSwap sections, same idea.

Ingame only, dynamic only, no permanent changes to maps.

Necessary packages still need to be added to the ServerPackages section.

Hey Helen...I have an idea for medToggle Version 4.
How about a setting to limit the number of real players per map?
This way you could have private games, one on one games and team games
and not be interrupted by other players joining.
Just a thought...

What is the difference between 310 and 315?

Answer in reply #26 above. No need to upgrade unless you start using version 3 and you can think of a reason you would need the actor swap.

I know this has a scoreboard in it. I think it shows the top 10 players. When installed does it start counting then or can it reference something in the logs and pull historic data?

No that's not this mutator. That's what is currently the medScoreBoard197, which I would probably only release if I retired from UT  Smiley

On the stuff wapper add on part...

In monsterHunts actual code they mispelled Razorjack and it caused all sorts of errors. Could you tell it to replace the mispelled one with the right one and have it unlock the right one?

Possibly... I do have a weapon switch thingie... I'd need to know more about it though. Is there a post somewhere where coders are talking about this problem, so I could get an idea of what it's about?

Sorry bud. It is an ever old issue. Here is what the log looks like though:

And oddly, I can't find the error in my logs. I wonder if I supressed it or if a mod did. I'll hunt for it and post it when I find it.

Thanks. I'll look at it when I get the mutator from you in that other topic we have.


Note the latest version is now 325. I've updated the link in the first post. Hook you should get this version if you do your upgrade.
