New maps.

I have been through the whole cycle of maps and there is a few really bad ones.
I would like to see some classic maps cycled in,maybe change the whole rotation every month or 2 weeks idk.
90% of the maps are very large wide open maps, these will not give anyone with a little bit of a higher ping any chance.
Agony/Phobos/Curse/ are nice classic smaller maps while Pressure/Seraphim are solid larger maps.i feel should be in rotation to offer some better game play.

As of right now i only play on this server to hang out in the maps and enjoy their looks, they really are not very good playable maps.I think i could maybe find 5 in the whole rotation that i would consider decently playable.

Agony, Curse, Pressure, and Seraphim are in the rotation (Seraphim just added a few days ago).

I DO like having good looking maps on the server. I was so bored of yucky looking maps.

Only 5 playable maps? A bit of an exaggeration. I've been a bit nice in the past, when folks complain the server is laggy, I did lots of stuff to try to fix the server. The server is fine - there are always things to try with your own install to make it better. Plus the main focus of the server (I hope) is camaraderie. Hopefully you can manage to find a playing partner on here to have a blast with.

I run a mutator allowing me to have more than the standard 32 maps in the rotation. There are currently 64 in the rotation. This means if you play the full rotation (which would be a lot) you are guaranteed not to see the same map for another 64 rounds.

I'd happily swap in a new batch of maps... um... can you recommend 60 decent maps?   Smiley

Phobos? Sure I could put it in. It bores me but yeah it's decent enough. By the weekend I'll have it in.

I probably could. I've been playing the game literally since it first came out and while I don't have all the maps I've been thru, I do still have over 200 deathmatch ones. Some of them suck badly...

...but most are pretty damned decent!

I could probably recommend 60 or so, though I'm not sure I'd be able to tell you where to get them. I honestly have no clue how to tell from the ones on my system all of every file they need to go into a .zip file.

Okay, I couldn't come up with 60.

I trust that you'll be able to make do with 80!

http://www.mobypicture.com/user/KrallWarriors
this seemed the simplest way, screencap of each map with title .

I could've selected more, and there may be a followup list as I've got 2 ut99s on my system with some different maps, but I didn't choose maps that had no screenshot from the selection menu, were 'falling maps' as i know Helen has an issue with those, and a few I think are already on the server.

Enjoy!

Wow I really appreciate the work you put in to do this. I had a quick peek at the top 10 (not all, I'm at work right now), I think I'll be able to use some of these. Hopefully the linked images will still exist by tonite Smiley

Ok you may go to sleep now.

Can you zip and attach these two maps? I couldn't find them

dm-rain_collector[pmf]
dm-castle-pf

Then I know there is a link on Hook or Herm's site of a utility that tells you all the files a map needs, so then I could let you know if I need any texture files or whathaveyou.

I downloaded 17 of the others. I'll preview them tomorrow.

I'm not a Hall of Giants fan Sad

Can you just post that dm-rain_collector[pmf]? I'll figure out what it needs.

Thanks again EvilGrins. I put 6 new maps up today, with 3 more in the wings that I want to make adjustments to.

There's no bots on the map, unless you put them there. That's why I suggested you play it with no bots.

Try it again. Go to the bridge above, to the tunnel junction at the middle bottom. I thought you'd appreciate the challenges I left...you did put the asgard2.u in your systems folder, right?
