skinning an embedded model

I've brought this up before...here or there

This map generates its own extra bot.
http://unreal-mayhem.com/files/index.php?dir=Maps/MonsterHunt/&file=MH-B99_Minas...

It fights both active players and the monsters on the map. Previously I wanted to find a way to get rid of her, as it's an unskinned Female Commando model, but I've come to appreciate the greater challenge of having a 3rd party to battle against. So now I want something a little different...

...I wanna skin her. Problem is I don't know how to skin a model that's embedded within a map. I included a link to it as I have no mapping skills whatsoever, hoping someone can either do it for me or tell me how to do it.

Part of the reason I've collected so few female skins over the years is there's very few decent ones out there. Either most of them suck or someone (for reasons I've never understood) thought making a naked skin of a Female model was a good idea.

Possibly with this skin:

I think I would know how to do that. Well, at least one of the standard skins that comes with the game by default. And I'm pretty sure the map would have to be saved as a different version. No I'm not sure, I don't know anything about monsterhunt, or how this bot is coming in. Well if no one gets around to it, it's in the queue.

Do you have a better link for the map? Download seems fishy. Or you could attach it.

Ok done. I did it with a mutator, that way you don't have to recompile the map, and you can keep changing the skin if you want by using the config file. Instructions included in the download.

Yes it works online. It's just not a very useful mutator, it has only one very specific purpose.

It is adaptable to a long list of maps?

The idea and select the map with bots. ( Winter map with skins santa ; summer with bikni ...)

No "med" because it is not a mutator that would be used by everyone, so I had fun with the name of it.

The point of this mutator is to get at a bot that is buried in the map itself. And it is very specific because it only looks for a Female Commando bot.

Yes this mutator could be expanded to do more maps, but it is not worth it. There would be a technical difficulty, and there are plenty of tools out there that do a better job of helping you choose your bot configurations.

THanks Helen, I'll give it a try later. Kinda in a rush to head out for some stuff today.

By the by, Jack Griffin over at ut99.org reconfigured the map for the Witchblade skin awhile ago. Thought I'd share that with you here.

Sure that's fine but it's not dynamic. That way means you have to rename the map each time. And you have to literally FIND the bot in the map, lol, took me awhile to find her myself.

Knowing her starting point helps. Though with superweapons, finding her is easy cuz she gets killed quick and starts respawning randomly all over the place...
Cheesy
...at which point, she finds you.
