Is it only that server that is giving the MD5 multimesh error, or are there others? I have not bothered much with it since I don't feel like playing there again for now, but...there is an email, I could try writing the admin to see if he is aware of this issue. Want me to try that?

I'm not to worried about it ether. Medor posted something, and I was just wanting my install to be correct. Not that I was wanting to play on that server. Just seems pretty silly that they would out anyone running the same patch they are using. Shocked

edit: Misery II crashed again. This time I waited for several min. but it never started. I can hear the water splashing, but no start. Tried to set priority settings. Ended up locking up computer. Had to reboot.
also taking a long time to load on map changes after fresh install.

Well...I have just finished playing Misery][ again...from start to finish...no troubles at all.  Smiley , unless you count the fact that the bots fragged me double this time Grin . I really hope that Hos can fix his Windows.

After I crashed in game on miseryII , I used another copy of UT that is patched to 436, and was able to connect no problem. I've played it with patch 469a but dont think it's ever worked on B. I'll study more.  Undecided

Tank has 469B and possible has done some minor tweaks to his install, see if you can figure out the differences.

I've 3 copy's of the game
436, 469a, and 469b.
469B will not work on MiseryII for me on Win7
469a works great, but not B

Ok, FYI. The only "tweak" was that I had XConsole installed, and I removed it completely. Good console, but...it has too much bundled stuff hard to remove. That is the reason Helen why you were seeing the "auto recorder" and "assault league mutator". I did not have any of that installed, I don't even know what they do, but it had tabs for that, and for pure, and lots of other stuff, and hard to disable, so...I took it out from the equation, I deleted it. The log looks a lot cleaner now.
About OpenAL, I am keeping that driver, I tweaked it a little and it sounds better now. Galaxy gives me issues even in 436, for some reason I get missing instruments from the umxs. I started a thread about it at UT99. The mayhem umx sounds different, for example. One of the forum members wrote that the log spam from the OpenAL is just that, log spam, and should not give me gameplay issues, but I don't know what you think. Right now my UT feels very stable.
EDIT: Hos, they have two versions of 469b, one is for WindowsXP. Which one are you using?

Dunno, I have 2,... one has a windows installer, and one you just install the files in the proper folders

You got me there, I'll have to look in on that. Embarrassed
Edit1: OK I had the right 1
So I took one of the 469a copy's I had, and moved it to were 469B was, and replaced it. Then patched it manually.
It worked  Undecided
I can now play MiseryII. whoo hoo.   Grin
I missed that map Smiley
but now I have to ctl+alt+del again to get it started.  Cheesy o well!

Edit2: found out that if I don't install patch 469A before 469B I'll get all kinds of problems. Also have to turn off Shader type in setting of OpenGL or my text will black out.

The problem with the MD5 check error I found on old unreal patch bug page...

"Those servers are on an older version of the v469 beta. The problem will go away when the admins update to the official v469a version and we added an MD5 list auto-updater to prevent this from happening again in the future."

I do think for the moment 469 should only be used with clients, not servers. From the release notes, I don't see how a server could benefit from it. Or maybe I am not looking right.  I do know some servers use XC engine, don't know if it is better.

469b use the .exe for set patch your game
My 4 servers are 469b patched and work fine

new newnet in place

@Helen can you see at my sing for allow links servers ?
